Meet Ian Richardson

Ian Richardson joined WW2 Research as an archival military records researcher in October 2024. Ian serves clients of WW2 Research through on-site research at the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC), part of the National Archives in St. Louis, Missouri. Ian is also a proud member of the US military, serving as an Officer in the US Army Reserve.

In addition to his expertise in research techniques and archival military records at NARA facilities, Ian brings 10 years of professional museum experience. He has served as Collections Manager at the George S. Patton Museum of Leadership in Fort Knox, KY; Historic Vehicle Program Coordinator at the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park, in Wheaton, IL; Museum Technician and Docent at LaSalle County Historical Society in Utica, IL; and as a Museum Board Member and Vice-President of the Mendota Museum & Historical Society in his hometown, also in Illinois.
